A cat lover has got to have a ‘Cats’ page!
Meet my adorable rodents!
Sammy, also known as King Sambo. Don’t be fooled by those innocent bedroom eyes… he can be a little shit disturber!
Christer, also know as White Shoe. She too has a very strong personality!
Folly, is a huge cat! He has lots of aka: Big Black Blob (try to say that 3 times in a row), Dusty, Mike, BoohBooh…!
Audrey, a gentle and sweet little girl. She is also known as Litt’l Bear!
Your comments are welcome! And you may include a picture and a little introduction of your cat(s) too!
Awesome pictures, I just love the cats! The house is fabulous.
How so true – about Cats. These felines really do have personality traits. Just like how you narrate. Those are some great snaps you’ve taken of your cats.
Hi You may know my name by now. I am at the beginning of buying my new life style in Belize. This is just to let you know That I also love cats, and I am reading yor blog with great interest.
Hi Julie!
Yes, I know your name through Howard. Thanks for reading my blog and I hope to meet you soon!
Great Website! We have three cats, one who thinks he has to carry stuff around during the night. I come down in the mornings and there is stuff all over the floor, towels, pants, showes, knitting. He is one of those cats with five toes..
Allo dear little girl,
I love cats a lot; but I don’t have any, because I am going out to much time.
When I staied home I paint one from a photo or magazine. Give a touch to every cat for me.
Mik
I like your blog a lot. It is so interesting. I learn about a steel roof because we intend to have one at home.
Thanks a lot
Mik
J’aime les chats aussi. J’en peins régulièrement.
Un jour…
Hi there. Yvonne here from East London in South Africa. I am seriously considering emigrating to Belize, but my 2 feline kids absolutely have to come with. I’ve been browsing whatever info I can on the process for them but am not getting clear answers. I’m not sure where you came from, but if you went through a similar process of importing pets, can you offer any advice?
Best regards,
Yvonne

Hello Yvonne!
Bringing your feline kids is easy to do. I am from Canada and my cats are Belizeans, so I have not imported animals myself. But the procedures are quite simple as all you need is a valid import permit from BAHA (Belize Agricultural Health Authority) the government department handling these matters is Belize http://www.baha.bz/.
To contact them I “highly” recommend phone, not email. Gov Depts in Belize are really bad at responding to emails! This page http://www.baha.bz/animal_health.html has 2 links; one to “The Procedure for the Acquisition of Import Permits” and one is the actual Application Form.
The cats will need to have specific shots with certificates from a certified veterinarian, which is all detailed on the BAHA website.
I don’t know if you read the Belize Forum? http://www.belizeforum.com/belize/ubbthreads.php?ubb=cfrm It is very active with lots of posters and you can find a lot of information.
Good luck if you decide to do the move, and stay in touch 🙂
Would you like to have another few cats? We added them up and they amount to 28 or 29. All have names, all are special and yes, we love them all.
